Since 3 September 2026 there are three new Salesforce editions on the price list: Core, Advanced and Max. They apply to Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service and Agentforce Industries, and they bundle what you used to buy as separate line items. For existing customers this is mainly a licensing question: what changes about your costs, and when will you notice it.
What changed on the price list
Enterprise and Unlimited no longer appear on the Sales Cloud pricing page. Instead, above the Starter Suite (25 dollars) and the Pro Suite (100 dollars), you now find three tiers, all per user per month and billed annually:
- Core: 195 dollars
- Advanced: 395 dollars
- Max: 550 dollars
In the announcement Salesforce itself refers to the “legacy Enterprise Edition” and the “legacy Unlimited Edition”, positioning Core against the first and Advanced against the second. Max keeps the same price as the earlier Agentforce 1 Edition.
What is now included as standard
The reasoning behind those prices is the bundling. According to Salesforce, every edition includes:
- Agentforce, bringing AI capabilities into day-to-day work;
- Slack and Slackbot (Slack Business+ with Core and Advanced, Slack Enterprise+ with Max);
- embedded analytics through Tableau Next;
- data security;
- the Premier Success Plan.
Each tier also comes with an allocation of Flex Credits, the unit Agentforce consumption is billed in: 500,000 with Core, 1 million with Advanced and 2.75 million with Max. For Max, the pricing page states explicitly that this is an amount per org per year. That is the figure to remember, because consumption beyond it is bought separately.
What this does to your current contract
This is the answer most customers are looking for, and it is calmer than the headlines suggest. Salesforce states that pricing for existing customers on legacy editions remains unchanged. You are not moved across automatically and your invoice does not change by itself. If you are on Agentforce 1 Edition, you can move to Max at no extra cost.
That shifts the question to your next renewal or expansion. At that point you no longer buy separately what is now in the bundle, and it can go either way. If you already run Slack, Tableau and Premier Success alongside each other, the bundle will probably work in your favour. If you do not, you are paying for capacity you are not using.
Keep two caveats in mind that Salesforce makes itself: pricing and packaging are subject to change, and new pricing for the Industry Editions only takes effect later this autumn.
What you can do now
Three things are worth doing, even with no renewal on the calendar yet:
- List the add-ons you pay for separately today, and which of those sit inside Core or Advanced.
- Work out how much Agentforce consumption you realistically expect. Without that number, comparing credit allocations is little more than a hunch. Our piece on Agentforce helps with that estimate.
- Note when your contract ends, so you make the comparison before the renewal conversation starts.
Would you like that worked through independently, with your own user numbers and add-ons next to it? Our consultancy puts your current licence alongside the new editions and sets out what a move would cost or save. Get in touch and we will schedule it.
